Intermediate Shaft Thrusts H/D

These bronze thrust washers are a standard fit.  They fit between the the low range - intermediate gear - high range gear sets.  The problem with the factory items is as they wear down the end float between the gear increases and the transfercase jumps out of high range.  If left to jump out, damage is done to the lead or dog teeth and the gears will also need to be replaced.  The factory set of washers consists of 4 washers 3mm thick.  These heavy duty washers / thrusts kit consists of 2 x 3mm thrusts and 1 x 2mm thrust and 1 x 4mm thrust.  The reason for the different size thrusts is to move the high range gear set closer to the intermediate gear by 1mm.  This allows the dog teeth to bite by an extra 1mm increasing strength and the risk of the transfercase jumping out of high range.
