Land Rover brakes are actually not too bad compared to other 4WD’s on the market. But we can improve the braking ability on earlier models fitted with solid discs.
There is nothing wrong with solid discs but the vented discs do cool faster and not retain as much heat. The more heat the less brakes!
The front brake callipers had to be modified to accept the wider vented disc. We have a kit to split the callipers. Vented disc conversion. Fitted the later discs and pads etc. This kit comes with 4 x ground steel spacers, 8 x splitting seals, 8 x longer bolts and brake pad pin kit.
