Bilstein Dampers

Les Richmond automotive over the last 20 years has been using Bilstein steering dampers on all Range Rovers, Discovery’s and Land Rovers. The German built Bilstein damper is by far the best product on the market for this job.
A vehicle fitted with an old or lesser quality damper may experience a violent vibration in the steering system at speeds around 70 – 100 km/h. This vibration is the same problem as a supermarket shopping trolley. The front wheels will oscillate left and right causing this vibration. The vehicle once this starts will have to be slowed right down until it stops.
A high quality steering damper will control the front wheels and stop the shopping trolley effect making the vehicle safe and pleasurable to drive.
